Steinhauswirt in Steinhaus

The inn in the centre of the village of Steinhaus.

The old inn, now in new garb, is part of the historic village centre of Steinhaus: its pale pink stone houses once served as the administrative offices of the Prettau copper mine.

Visitors to the Steinhauswirt are pleasantly surprised by the attractive mix of gasthof and locanda – rural and urban, old and new. The hosts, Barbara and Elmar, pay particular attention to their guests' physical needs, with their trump cards being absolutely fresh, top quality ingredients, herbs from their own garden, enjoyment at work and plenty of imagination!
