The BIOLAND gastronomy project BIO FAIR SÜDTIROL has set itself the goal of putting more organic and South Tyrolean food on the plate so that it is increasingly used in local restaurants.
The core of the concept is a three-level award. It is possible to start with a share of at least 30 % organic in food and beverages, which means that the business achieves BRONZE status. With an organic share of 60 % you become a SILVER partner and with an organic share of 90 % the GOLD status applies.
We hold GOLD status at Bio Fair Südtirol.
Sustainability label South Tyrol
We are proud to have been awarded the South Tyrol Sustainability Label (Level 2).
In practice, this means, for example: over 70 % vegetarian dishes, regional producers named on our menus, and two newly seeded flower meadows in 2026. As a business rooted in our region, we want to keep developing these measures.

Electricity from hydropower
Our electricity comes from the Alperia hydroelectric power plants in South Tyrol. We have our own charging station for your electric car (for a fee).

Drinking water
We have removed mineral and natural water bottles from the drinks order list and instead purchased a water filter system and reusable water bottles.
Our drinking water is local mountain water (spring water from the Ahrntal), which we filter in the hotel. This way, no bottled water has to be transported to us.
South Tyrol GuestPass
The South Tyrol GuestPass combines the use of public transport throughout South Tyrol with a diverse weekly programme and various discounts.
As our guest, you receive this advantage card upon arrival at no extra charge and can therefore leave your car at the hotel.
